You do have to sign up in order to use the Instagram app. It is similar to how Pinterest works where you are allowed a tiny bit of online function, but to experience the full benefits you need to sign up and log in to your account.
Instagram doesn't like you saving images from other people's accounts, so you usually have to use an online tool or an extra piece of software in order to save images. However, there is nothing stopping you from zooming in on the picture and then taking a screenshot on your mobile or desktop device.
The Instagram app works as a profile, image and video viewer, and you may use it to take photos, load photos, tinker with photos and upload them. You may also upload video footage too.
The longest video upload you may add to your Instagram account is 15 seconds. Short and snappy videos are all that are allowed.
Downloading, installing, and using the app is free. Getting and using an Instagram account is also free as it is a social media network.
One of the most common reasons why Instagram keeps crashing is because of memory issues. Your phone or mobile device may not have enough memory to fulfil the action of uploading. The easiest way to fix this problem is to close your other apps and turn off your background processes so that your device has enough random access memory to fulfil your upload.
Freezing is a sad flaw in the Instagram app, and the only way to stop the freeze is to “Force-quit” the app. You need to stop the app from running and then restart the app to see if the photo was processed or uploaded. If not, then you will need to do whatever you did again and hope that it doesn't freeze this time.
You can delete a comment, and once you have deleted it, then the comment is gone. Your account may be taking a short while to process the deletion, and/or your page may be slow to update. Refreshing the page is often all you need to do in order to see that the comment has been deleted.
While using the app, tap on the username of the person you wish to block. Tap the top right of the screen and choose the “Block” option. Do not worry about causing trouble or issues when you block another user because the other user is not notified.
Instagram has some ultra-leftist rules on comments, which means you cannot write anything that may even slightly offend another person’s feelings. Even a comment such as, “You should take better care of yourself,” will have you banned from using your account. Even offering advice such as cures to a person who obviously has an eating disorder is strictly not allowed. Since many PC bullies and/or leftists will take offence at any opportunity, it is often best to keep your comments to yourself when using Instagram or its app.
